Herecomes the question: I don't know if the "Hidden Blade" upgrade actually increases the damage of the Hidden Blade or the Stealth kills (remember that some commanders won't die on the Stealth attempt). I'm not sure on how the game handles that upgrade. Does it increases only the Hidden Blade damage (not every stealth kill damage)?
Personally I favored upgrading the hidden blade as soon as I had enough material. Because for the attacks I wanted to get stronger, while for the defense I could always go around it and dodge instead. PostHidden Ones: Bought 7/20 from Nomad's Bazaar to begin upgrades. Upgrades complete, and have 22 Carbon left over and haven't looted everything yet. Curse of the Pharaohs will obviously use more. updated weapon editor, the script would disable the hidden blade lethal stealth kill (use bare hand stealth "kill" instead) on previous update. it's fixed now. Update16 - updated the table for v1.05, specifically:-- updated sync equipments level / reset outfit quantities, the AOBscan of an ret check was defected.

You CAN do the non-lethal takedown still after you get the hidden blade, you just have to equip your barehands as your main weapon and the assassinate prompt turns to takedown. Might bypass the hidden blade dmg restrictions
Dariusshowed the first hidden blade in Odyssey and that was in 400 something BC, and given the trade routes and whatnot might mean it reached China somehow. Apparently Darius’ and Bayek’s hidden blade are on in the same, and Darius moved to Egypt with that blade. Unless schematics were made and sent over there.
